After the passing of Pastor Robert L. Kimball, his wife and daughter have taken on roles of church leadership. 

OVERSEER LINDA N. KIMBALL, a native of Atlanta, Georgia, is the widow of Overseer Robert L. Kimball to whom she was married for nearly 50  years.  She is co-founder of the Temple of Hope Non-Denominational Church of Atlanta, Georgia.  She is the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. John and Emily Thomas Maxey of Rayle, Georgia.

Overseer  Kimball was reared through the Atlanta Public School System, attending E. P. Johnson Elementary School for her primary education and graduating with honors in 1968 from David Tobias Howard High School. She completed biblical studies training at the Carver Bible College of Atlanta, Georgia.   

Raised in Atlanta's historic Summerhill and Kirkwood Communities, Overseer Kimball accepted the Lord at an early age and enjoyed several years of Christian service as a member of Salem Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Jasper Williams, Jr.  While a member at Salem, she sang in the youth and young adult choirs and served as a member of the Usher Board.

Overseer  Kimball began her professional career in retail and finance in 1968.  From 1968 to 1976 she was employed as a retail specialist with J. J. Newberry Department Store where she provided customer service, office management, and payment management.  In 1976 she joined First National Bank of Atlanta/Wachovia (Now Wells Fargo) as a Central Cash Vault/Receiving Teller where she processed high-volume deposits from national retailers and banks, balancing more than $5 million in daily deposits.  She continued her career with Wachovia Bank as a Wire Transfer Investigator, Teller Cash Group Leader, and Bank Reconcilement Specialist, officially retiring in 2001 after more than 25 years of service. From 2001 to 2007 she worked with Flag Bank/RBC Centrua in Stockbridge, Georgia where she served as a Deposit Operations Specialist.  She retired from full-time employment in 2007 and works as a seasonal assistant for the Georgia State University College of Law Registrar's Office.

In 1986, Overseer Linda Kimball along with Overseer Robert L. Kimball founded the Temple of Hope Non-Denominational Church.  She ministry leader  and shares her instructional background through Christian education; lends her talent of singing as praise and worship leader; and is an inspiring speaker.

 

Overseer Kimball is devoted woman of God.  She strives to be an example of a virtuous woman ‑‑ a woman who has yielded to God in every area of her life. She humbly serves as the Women=s Ministry leader and her husband=s helpmate.  She has raised one daughter, Anjelica Lymon, is a loving mother-in-law to Vincent Lymon, Sr. and grandmother to a blended family of four grandchildren, Johnathan, Janell, Trammell, and Mario. The Lord has also given her a passion for children and teens and she enjoys the special blessing of being able to counsel and mentor youth with a nonjudgmental approach and firm, but unbiased, love. Overseer Kimball is a woman of grace who has a heart for people and is a committed prayer warrior!

 

MINISTER ANJELICA T. LYMON, a native of Atlanta, Georgia, is the loving wife of Deacon Vincent M. Lymon, Sr. to whom she has been married for nearly 18 years.  She is a founding member of  the Temple of Hope Non-Denominational Church of Atlanta, Georgia.  She is the daughter of Overseer and First Lady Robert and Linda Kimball of Atlanta, Georgia and is the mother of a blended family of four children, Vincent M. Lymon, Jr., Trammell S. Lymon, Johnathan O. Nation, and Janell E. Nation.

 

Anjelica was reared through the Atlanta Public School System, attending William A. Fountain and Kirkwood Elementary Schools for her primary education, Sammye E. Coan Middle School for middle grades education, and graduating with honors in 1987 from the Benjamin E. Mays High School Mathematics and Science Academy.  She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from Georgia State University; a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Georgia State University; and a Masters of Arts degree in Higher and Post-Secondary Education From Argosy University.  She has minor degree concentrations in African-American Religion, African-American Studies, and Biblical Studies.  She also has graduate-level training in community counseling and career counseling.

 

Raised in Atlanta's historic Kirkwood and Fourth Ward communities, and in Decatur, Georiga, Anjelica accepted the Lord at an early age and was baptized into Christian service as a founding member of the Temple of Hope Non-Denominational Church under the leadership of Overseer Robert L. Kimball.  She is a founding member of the R. L. Kimball Gospel Choir and has held various positions of service and leadership in the church including serving as founder of the Temple of Hope Youth Choir and Temple of Hope Young Adult Ensemble; and founder of the Temple of Hope Youth Ministry.  She currently serves as Church Administrator.  Minister Lymon is ordained in 2018 under the National Association of Christian Ministers.

 

Anjelica began her professional career in 1987 with Georgia State University College of Law where she presently serves as the College's Human Resources Officer.  Throughout the years, Anjelica has also worked part-time in legal practice, home-based sales, and magazine publishing. Since 2000, she has also worked as a graphics designer and desktop publisher. 

 

Anjelica is a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. and the Order of the Eastern Star.  She has worked with a number of community-based organizations including: the National Council of Negro Women; the Reigning Hope Scholarship Foundation, Inc.; the Tri-Cities High School Band Foundation; the Dorothy Norwood Scholarship Foundation; the Gospel Music Workshop of America Atlanta Chapter (graphic design); the American Business Women's Association; Hearts of Compassion Christian Ministries; and Outstanding Young Women of America.  She is also a recipient of the Georgia State University African American Heritage Award /Marcus Garvey/Fannie Lou Hamer Award for Outstanding Community Volunteer.

 

Anjelica is devoted in her walk with God and has a heart for the church. She loves working behind the scenes to ensure that the mission of the church moves forward and is often the one who handles the issues that no-one realizes she handles.  Doing a job behind the scenes may not get you any credit, and for the most part is thankless work before men.  But is the are the most rewarding work for me to do.  Anjelica embraces both the biblical and contemporary tenets of servant leadership, Whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant, and whoever wants to be first must be your slave, just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many (Matthew 20:26-28).
